The game features expanded playbooks, plays, and teams compared to the previous Tecmo Bowl.

In this game, players control a team of 30 players including 11 defensive players, 17 offensive players, a punter, and a kicker. Of course, there won't be all 30 different players of each team on the field. That's just the number of both starters and substitutes. In fact, there are only 11 players for each team on the field.

Game Goal

Your goal is to control players and compete with other teams. To do that, you must move players, run, pass, punt the ball, cross the goal line with the ball (a touchdown), or score a field goal.

To do that, you have to learn how to control players and how to pass or throw the ball in the right direction.

If you already know the standard rules of American football, you will easily become familiar with the game. Otherwise, you need to learn about the game in order to win the NFL season.
